So is there some remaining problem? You mentioned something about 
not being able to get an umlaut. I'm anxious to know if there's
a problem with this kind of thing, since my core hasn't been
tested with another language for some time. Vladimir did that 
job with Russian. I don't know very much about it myself.

BTW, if you are interested, my core can easily be translated into
another language, all system messages are kept in one file and 
if that is translated, it's all done. So far we have just English
and Russian, German would be nice to have too.
