With respect to the messages about Ray Andrews (I think) ISP being down for
a few days, and the question of an ISP having redundant facilities:

I am not sure if Ray is back with the Vancouver Community Net as his ISP,
but the timing of the (2 day for me) ISP failure would suggest he is.

When you consider the commercial rates at Compuserve, where I ran my
browser for a few years with $20 - $70 MONTHLY BILLS, compared to the $25
annual tax decuctible donation I pay at the Vancouver Community net, the
annoyance of a 2 day service failure is not such a big burden.
