As the others have said, this is probably not a difficult problem.
Do you send the dial string to your modem via Arachne.cfg keywords,
or directly via lsppp.cfg? If you use the former, try the latter since
the former is not as flexible. Also, try executing lsppp.exe from the
command line. If you can't get lsppp to connect from the command line,
then the problem has nothing to do with Arachne herself, OTOH, if
lsppp does go resident, and *then* you continue to have a problem
there is an issue within Arachne herself. Oh, to connect from the
command line you have to have your values in lsppp.cfg of course.
FWIW, in my core, the 'internal' method is abandoned entirely,
you always use lsppp.cfg so you can always connect from the CLI,
so you can always tell where the problem lies (with lsppp itself, or
with Arachne herself).
