Interesting comments, Udo.
The problem is that I would still have to "upgrade" to Windoze XP just to
install some of the latest and greatest Windoze applications. Running
Wine would allow me to work independently of Windoze, but it would not
liberate me from having to "upgrade" to a highly DOS-hostile and
greatly inferior version of Windoze.
