[arachne] Re: ReactOS (was HELP.... How do I get off this list?)

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

I tried ReactOS but it had no networking capabilities, I
just got the new version, but haven't had a chance to try
it yet. The version I tried looked just like NT.4. You
may want to check out Syllable. It's a lot more developed
than ReactOS.
Also, I've been a registered user of Opera for quite sometime
and am now using 8.5. I have had no problems at all with it.
It works as good as my firefox.

Hi Jerry

I've given up on Dos ... back to WinDoz 98SE.

Windows? Yuck! Just joking, I'm a linux guy but don't hate windows. I just hate M$ licensing for the home user so I quit using windows. I only use it now at work. Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on ReactOS. Looks like it's getting closer to being worthwhile. But linux will likely be my main OS at home for some time to come.

I'm using Opera as my browser, much much better than Explorer.

Since Opera went ad free, I use it and firefox. The issue I have with Opera is there are many, many more sites that have form issues for me in opera than firefox. Is that the way it is or do I have something set up wrong?

And its free. Also, I'm using my Amiga alot more now.
I just don't know why they would have a list that you can't
un-subscribe from ....... seems to me there was an old song
about a guy who got on a subway train and didn't have a token
to get off so he just kept going and going and going.
I think we are on the Arachne Express ;-)

I also wish I knew, have tried to get off a long time ago but not able.

By the way, if you weren't successful with Arachne you might give one of
the versions of "GEOS" a try, I have "Breadbox Ensemble" and like it.
There is a free version you can give a try at their web page or you can
search for older versions. Jerry

The title says it all ..........
I never got Arachne to work (months ago) and I'd like to get off this list.
I went to the site and submitted a request to be removed and got a response
saying I would be removed but the messages just keep comming..........
I also tried several months ago........
Isn't there ANY way to get off aside from changing my EMail address ??????
