Hi Sam E.,
                        I have been using A1.87 and I can download
files with no problems and my mail compose page looks
just fine. I can write e-mail with no problem on Mail Compose
page and save it to Outbox.
      Have you checked you are not running out of disk space
in your cache.
       I can't explain your problem with Mail Compose page unless
you had a corrupt download.   Did you try replacing the core.exe
with the upgrade at the URL below:
