[arachne] Problem with Freelists

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

A few days ago, Freelists has apparently changed the look and feel of
the message archive; the most recent messages of a month are now at the
top instead of the bottom. Worse is, however, that they do no longer
include the posters' names in the list. This is really bad for people
like me who stay in vacation mode all the time and only read the
messages online in the archive. I don't really care whether the messages
are listed top-down or bottom-up, but not being able to tell which
messages are by which poster unless I am clicking through all of them is
a real pain. I would even say that including the date would have been
useful, but omitting the name makes the archive next to useless when one
wants to locate a particular message in a thread.

I don't know how responsive the tech support of Freelists is when it
comes to problems - provided that they offer any at all, that is - but I
presume it would be the list administrator's responsibility to contact
them and inform them of the problem if he cares at all what becomes of
his list.

Regards,

Udo
