If you need a truly excellent printer for DOS, Kyocera is a good choice.
I bought a brand-new Kyocera FS1920 laser printer for my PC; it fully
supports DOS. It is even compatible with really ancient printers like
the IBM Proprinter, yet it also supports Postscript Level 3 and PCL.
I do all my printing in DOS, and regularly print PDF documents in DOS
using Ghostscript. With the duplex unit, I can even print booklets in
DOS! And I can send files to the printer over the TCP/IP network using
only DOS tools. :-)

Udo
