Are you sure you are/were using LSPPP 1.01? I have not seen this
behaviour with LSPPP 1.0 or 1.01, although I have seen it with earlier
versions. Incidentally, the work-around is to change the "Multitasking"
option in the "Downloading of images" section of the "Preferences &
Performance" options page to "while searching" (or to "off"). Note that
this will cause a small (IIRC, about 10%) increase in the download
time of web pages, but this is far preferable to the "stalling" delays
you (and Greg?) are describing.
