I'm not 100% sure, but I think IBM took like 19 or 20% stock interest in
Lenovo in lieu of all cash...so that would mean IBM still does have some
interest in PC DOS, as well as ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, which usually come
preloaded with MS Windows.

Lenovo bought IBM's small computer division lock, stock and barrel,
probably with IBM insisting Lenovo take all or nothing. Lenovo has done
nothing with PCDOS7-2000 since. Lenovo could get both a healthy tax
deduction and good publicity by putting PCDOS into the public domain.
RE UDO "Glenn not well known outside out circle" Glenn is a law professor
and law professors are rarely invisible.
