Interesting Brian...by the way, what response, if any, did you receive from
Lenovo? Did you notice the web form is hosted at IBMs site, or was in 2006.
I visited the Lenovo site using this BlackJack PDA, but it was not PDA
friendly, a huge web site, but no place was seen for inquiry into PC DOS.
There was a mention of a free version, albeit Chinese, on Wikipedia...at IBMs
ftp site. Perhaps IBM has some financial interst in Lenovo?
Anyway, no known updates to PC DOS since those for "Y2K" issues.

WIZ: After our brief conversation about ownership of PCDOS7-2000, I
wanted to make sure of my facts. It is definitely owned by LENOVO.

Following is a copy of a letter to me from IBM substantiating that fact

      ES 11655

Dear Mr. Murphy:
Thank you for your correspondence dated July 12, 2006, regarding the
referenced proposal which would be more appropriately considered by Lenovo.

In May 2005, Lenovo Group Limited, an international technology company,

acquired the IBM personal computing division. Lenovo offers customers

ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops, as well as ThinkVision

monitors and a full line of PC accessories and options.

Please make your electronic submission to Lenovo using the following URL:

Thank you for your interest in IBM and Lenovo.

Sincerely,

Joe Parzych
