... But there is one DOS editor that can co what mimed cannot do.
It is called "blocek" (pronounce: blochek, meaning: notepad) and its
author Ladislav Lacina is - of course - Czech.
Blocek has the same range as the ISO-10646-1 Unicode subset, i.e.
it displays all kinds of Latin diacritics, Russian, Armenian,
Georgian, Thai, Hebrew, Arabic in its own font. You see all these
national characters together on one screen.
You may use either the keyboard mapping from DOS or a
couple of configurable internal keyboard drivers in order to
type international characters.
Unfortunately the editor capabilities the program are not reaching
very far, yet. But the program is under development. Have a look
