In my opinion the problem has nothing to do with whether
he is connecting to the internet by using "epppd.exe" or
"lsppp.exe".
Sometimes I use epppd and sometimes I use lsppp for running
different and various dos-based internet apps. I have never
gotten the "ppp link is down" error ever since I started
using the "hangup.bat" file that I currently use and have been
using for about the last seven years or so.
