Strange effects. Reinstating  <TBODY> in your version of the html file
does not bring the problem back.

Thanks for the suggestion Glenn. In 1024X768 there would be no
contest, your layout would be better.
I normally use 640X480 where both horizontal and vertical scrolling is
needed. You can see either 10 rows and 5 columns or 7 rows and
8 columns. I slightly prefer my 10 row version but it is debatable.

Anyone have a preference? I don't mind changing. Compare:

I would have expected that my version might be faster, but the
opposite seems to be the case (only noticeable on modest machines)
