Even stranger (but not necessarily very significant):-
The original local html file works OK, unlike the one resulting from
upload - download - and F2 save in Arachne.
So I have two html files (one is OK the other not) The obvious next
step - run a file comparison program. You've probably guessed
..........NO differences!!!
But the program used was an intelligent TEXT comparator. There are
some differences visible in a hex viewer the first being an
unnecessary space character removed.
