I hadn't managed to make myself aware of the source of this problem because I use Arachne to read my email and all of his postings to coolist were unreadable by Arachne. We now get his postings here and the ones that include a winmail.dat file and a text attachment are readable--but the ones that are just sent as text attachments alone are not. I extend my sympathy to Joe. I'm sorry I didn't understand his problem. But I can't RTFM(essage) when the message in question is sent in a form that Arachne can't read. It's too bad email is getting so complicated and wierd with the firewalls and spam filters and various non-compliant server problems. Too bad people can't just send ASCI text.
