Dear Udo

Ran Arachne, got to Dos with Alt E and used ping2, ping and tcpinfo.

Ping2 told me:
 config file not found
 configuring through BOOTP/DHCP
 BOOTP/DHCP failed

The smaller ping file (45024 kb) told me:
NE2000 packet driver version11 2
Ether address = 00:50:BA:C0:36:BA
Attempting BOOTP type (space) to abort **********
unable to perform bootp

And tcpinfo gave following info:

Reading configuration file `.\wattcp.cfg'
Warning: %WATT_ROOT% not set.
This is okay if you're not planning to program with Watt-32
.\wattcp.cfg (7): Missing line-termination could break old WatTcp programs.
.\wattcp.cfg (7): Missing line-termination could break old WatTcp programs.
Configuring through BOOTP..failed
failed
Configuring through DHCP..failed
Configuring through RARP...failed
All attempt (config-file/DHCP/BOOTP/RARP) to get a IP-address failed.

Check your configuration.

Ran the exact same box with Baslinux and got a perfect pinging.
And when starting Arachne the modem router is reacting.
