of course the page does not fit into a virtual screen because of its
length, but why would this affect the maximal width of the virtual
screen? The length of the page should not be a problem unless one
scrolls it half way to the bottom, just as the width of a page does
not keep Arachne from generating a VS unless one scrolls to the right.
However, in this case it is not the length of the page that keeps
Arachne from generating a VS but the maximal width of the VS. Mind
that Arachne does not simply stop using a VS for values larger than
1337 when I scroll it to the right or the bottom, it simply doesn't
use a VS right away.

Udo
