I tried Slack about 6 years ago on a P-166.
Didn't try it on this machine though.

I've been meaning to learn BSD "someday" anyway, so the
fact that this machine runs it turned today into that
someday.
  I had FreeBSD 4.3(?) on a 486VLB-66 w/24MB RAM and it ran
fine, but X was *really* slow. Other than that, I liked
what I saw. Said that if I ever had a faster "spare"
machine around, I'd like to learn BSD. Well, I guess my
"spare" machine is, for now, my main machine.
Nothing like total immersion to learn a new language, or
OS for that matter.

I've been playing with Dillo since... I don't know when,
but I'm sure it's in the archives here (or on the original
arachne list) somewhere.

I think you meant Links... I use the text version
sometimes, and it follows javascript links so:

+------------------------- Go to URL -----------------------+

Javascript is attempting to open a new window with URL
  "http://twoloonscoffee.com/who.html";.

        [ Allow ] [ Reject ] [ Kill script ]
+-----------------------------------------------------------+

If you're in X, it actually does open up a new xterm with
the link... obviously, it can't do that in a console.
I haven't tried graphical Links. Someday.

  True.
