[arachne] Re: Invalid Packet Address Error

Hi Jerry,
OK, to use Arachne with WZPPP I use the TCP/IP setup wizards, or,
press the letter o (oh) with Arachne running, then choose the option
to "Use Resident Packet Driver". Then click "OK", then "Use new
config" to restart Arachne. I'm assuming you already have the ISP
connection extablished with WZPPP, using the BATCH file method.

As for the "Java"...not sure what you mean, UNLESS, it is JavaScript
stuff, irregardless, no DOS browsers support either Java or JavaScript,
no IE Script, ECMAScript, ActiveX, etc. I think what you are seeing are
the "fill in your information here" blanks...if so, many of these are simple
CGI script "forms" hosted by the ISP and Arachne should handle them
without any problems. Most of the "webmail" addresses I use are
"form based", though many are changing to JavaScript. I can recommend
a few web based, and FREE, email services...IonMail comes to mind,
www.ionmail.com, as well as SoftHome, www.softhome.net. Both work
nicely with Arachne, and Lynx 386 for DOS.

If you need help with a BATCH file for dialing and connecting, let me know.
