************** Note to those who might be upgrading ***************
If you are upgrading an existing installation, existing files
will be over-written with their new counterparts.
However, existing configuration files will be saved into a
backup directory. (also hotlist.htm and quickpad.txt)
If you are not comfortable with this arrangement you may
prefer to install this upgrade to a new different directory
which will leave your present installation undisturbed.
(examples of files that will be saved.........
C:\arachne\backup\arachne.cfg, L:\ara\backup\hotlist.htm
*******************************************************************

As the installer tells us _before_ beginning the actual install.

All of your previous *.CFG files are backed-up in arachne_main\backup\
