Greg,
No I meant /A. I was thinking it meant ALL. I could be
remembering wrong and it may have been /F. For some
reason tho I remember a possibly undocumented /A. Did
you try that on a NT system or 9x? Some switches are
different on some commands, between those two.
I'm curious now. Thanx for pointing that out. Do you
have access to both systems?

'chkdsk -a' or is that 'chkdsk /a', sorry been a long
time since I used M$. Win2k and XP will have to be
rebooted then so chkdsk can work on the unmounted
file system.

Did you mean CHKDSK A: (which would test the A: drive)?

Just to see what commandline parameters are available, CHKDSK /? gave
this:

CHKDSK 1.24 Disk maintenance utility
Copyright (C) 1990,1998 Caldera, Inc. All rights reserved.

CHKDSK [d:][wildspec] [/F] [/V] [/B] [/D] [/S] [/WP] [/NS]

/F write corrections to the disk
/V verbose display of file names encountered
/B runs in batch file mode, suppressing pauses
/D displays detailed error and statistics report for Stacker drives
 /S surface scan Stacker drives
 /WP check/repair any write-protected Stacker drives
/NS perform check on Stacker drives with Stacker test disabled

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
