Remembering and entering that *exact* phrase does indeed give Dave's site at the top of "about 8,860,000" other sites, according to Google. If you are happy with that method, then I won't insist that you change. OTOH with the hotlist I don't have to remember any exact wording. It can give me these DOS software sites at a glance, as a sample of my hotlist (I give the URLs in case you're interested): Garbo PC collection <http://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/> Wizard57M's Web Site Menu <http://members.surfbest.net/wizard57m@xxxxxxxxxxxx/index.htm> Some unique DOS freeware <http://www.geocities.com/j_ds_au/> Computer Parts Galore DOS Software Page <http://www.computerpartsgalore.com/software-dos.htm> Rays Downloads <http://randrews.freecoolsite.com/> SimTelnet MS_DOS Programs <ftp://src.doc.ic.ac.uk:21/sites/mirror.simtel.net/pub/msdos/> Index of /glennmcc/download <http://www.cisnet.com/glennmcc/download/> > Much > easier than poking through a hot list of hundreds of random > entries. Well, it's not so hard in practice. The one you want will tend to stand out as you scan through. It's rather like having your own little book with your friends' phone numbers. Even if you can't remember how to spell their surnames, it's easier to find the entry you want in your personal list than trying to look it up in the phone directory. Having the Hotlist is much easier than scanning through over eight million Google results when you've forgotten the exact key words. And Hans Hempel's Hotlist makes it easier still. You can categorize the entries into different groupings and look for what you want in "DOS Programs", "Downloads" or whatever you have decided to file them under. . ,-./\ from Greg Mayman, in Adelaide, South Australia . / \ "Queen City of The South" 34:55 S 138:36 E . \_,-*_/ . v homepage http://users.tpg.com.au/gmone/index.htm Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
