Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
John,
I presume this is what you were looking for ...
[Yahoo Groups via Arachne] :
Using Arachne, I can (and do!) :
a) Sign-in (requires the 'https2http' setting).
b) Read messages, even without logging in.
c) Reply to messages (requires login).
d) Download from the file area (requires login).
e) Participate in discussions via e-mail without
needing to access the Yahoo Groups web interface.
Reminder : Beware using Yahoo Mail with Arachne, the cookies
there are about twice as big as Yahoo Groups and _will_ crash
Arachne.
Footnote (for the technically minded) : Since becoming aware
of this cookie problem with Arachne, I have read RFC-2109 to
see how big cookies are allowed to be. The answer : 4096 bytes!
So as big as Yahoo cookies are, especially Yahoo Mail, they
are still nowhere near as big as they are allowed to be. :-/
Joe.
