I think Brian wants the external editor for email.

That requires editing XEDIT.BAT (in the Arachne home directory) to point
to the editor of your choice.

In my case I edited XEDIT to show

c:\tse\qedit %1

Then to call up the editor while writing email, just click on the
'external editor' button just below the edit window.
