Subject: [arachne] HOW CAN I INSTALL MY OWN EMAIL EDITOR IN ARACHNE?
Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Now that I am starting to write email from my new ISP at Vancouver
Freenet, I am having to determine how to substitute my favorite email
editor (a composite I have made up from a multi-part batch file that
includes a complete large on line Websters dictionary and is all set up
for a 72 character right margin for email), which I have been using for
my Compuserve email for some time.
(No, that has nothing to do with the some time ago lost character
problem, which turned out to be an artifact that sprung into action at
the interface between my VDE editor and Compuserve's EMI FACILITIES when
pasting from VDE to Compuserve EMI). That problem has been solved by
using an alternate ENTIRELY COMPUSERVE procedure for pasting from a DOS
VDE file). - just so no-one confuses the two unrelated problems.
My question is straight forward and hopefully simple: What procedure
must I follow to substitute another editor of my own choosing/design for
the default Arachne built in editor (which is not a bad editor, but I do
miss my dictionary and the flexible cutting, pasting, and uploading
capabilities of my own designed composite VDE based editor?
If anyone knows how to make that substitution, I would appreciate having
your directions.
Many thanks,
Brian Murphy
