I have never seen message exactly like those before.

Since you mention that Blair and Eric from the FreeDos project
provided help... may wre assume that you are running FreeDos ?

If so....
there have been reports that FreeDos is not compatible with Arachne.

If you have the ability to boot OpenDos or Dr-Dos,

please do and report back with the results.
