I wonder how many users had their Windo$e mail clients set for
automatic opening of attachments....

Very suspicious in itself.

First point: The only messages I have ever received from the
mailer daemons are those concerned with non-delivery of messages.

Second point: Any ISP who cares about their customers will send
official messages with a lot more in the covering text than a
simple instruction to open the attachment.

But I guess the message fooled enough people to keep the
originator happy.... rot his/her cotton pickin' socks!
