thank you for answering. Now i can connect arachne by using the packet driver for my e3000ii parallel eth adaptor and reinstalling arachne again and using cablemodem configuration in arachne.cfg. The thing now is: arachne can configure DHCP but it never ends loading any page. I cannot load google for example. It first appears a messege "cannot locate www.google.com Check your set up" but then it find it and start loading it. then "o bytes loades of 23000" for 1 or 2 minutes, then "2000 bytes loaded of 23000" for other 2 or 3 minutes and never ends loading. I think it is suffering disconnection becaues sometimes appears "configuring BOOT DHCP" again. The thing is I cannot load any page and i read that arachne is faster than IE3 so i think theres a problem here.
my pc is a compac contura 3/25 25mhz 4mb ram and i have 1GB HD. the ethernet is a Genius parallel ethernet adaptor e3000ii. the connection is cablemodem 1MB. If can help me i will thank you!

TCPconfig PPPTCP.CFG

If those are already your settings, try accessing an IP address directly
to see if the problem might be DNS related.
