Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
I've used the "stub32" with Win95, running Arachne in DOS window...can't do
much with it besides fetch and view HTML, no images, no posting, etc. I once
thought it would be handy to port Arachne to Visual Basic 1 or 3, and utilize
the 16 bit winsock.dll, but there was little or no interest, suggestion was
thrown out. HTTPSTUB uses the 32 bit winsock.dll, sits in System Tray area of
Taskbar. Not sure if I still have my VB3 compiler either...that hard drive was
history a long time ago...
