I remember that the subst command is not really MS-DOS compatible in
FreeDOS, yet. If subst is involved, check the FreeDOS documentation
for subst, there is a way to force compatibility.
Even if subst is not involved, try whether different file managers
(e.g. dc, vc, ndn) or different versions of nc recognize the drive
correctly. Of course only if cd and dir commands work.
