Having spent the best part of an afternoon helping a friend re-activate
his dialup internet connection on a P-II running Win ME (yes, I know it
is a ridiculous combination, but that his how his "friend" set it up for
him) I can see why a lot of people throw out their old computers and
start from scratch with a new one.

And of course it is a quick and easy way to eliminate bloatware,
infections, and "loose nut on the keyboard" stuffups.

How many times have we all heard: "Your computer is too old. It's time
you upgraded"?
