DOS is still somewhat commercial, tho I admit it's share
wouldn't be much. Ask the commercial vendors such as
Novell, IBM, Redhat, Sun, and slew of others if Linux has
any 'Market Share'.

Udo,
You run thru a Unix server everytime you get on the 'net
or use Google or Yahoo or whatever. Most likely the only
DOS you run thru is your own personal PC. Most apps I've
seen new for DOS are ports from Linux. DOS lost almost
all it's share 20 years ago. Linux is gaining market share.

"DOS lost almost all its market share"???
Do you know anyone who has bought DOS recently? Or anyone who is
selling it?
And how can Linux be gaining "market share" when it is free?
Yeah, I know what you mean, but loose terminology annoys me and I just
gotta get up my soapbox <GGGGG>
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
