[arachne] Farewell Coollist

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Well, I've been doing some thinking over the past few days.
Perhaps my memory is failing, but I can't remember the last
time there was anything constructive on this list. Rather,
there has recently been far too much BS, with certain people
playing political games, and one particular person intent on
insulting anyone that doesn't see/do things their way. I have
therefore taken the decision, as have a number of others in
recent times, to leave this list. I will still be available
at Freelists (and ArachneDevelopment, of course), so if anyone
has something constructive to contribute, your input will be
welcome there.

Finally, I would like to say to all of you that Michael Polak
made this code available to all of you. You all have the right
to do with it as you wish, so long as you (a) don't delete any
of the copyrights or disclaimers, (b) identify any changes you
make, and (c) publish the sources if you make a distribution.
That's the GPL in a nutshell (see www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html
for the full license details). Nobody has the exclusive rights
to this GPL code, nobody has the right to dictate what you
do with it, nor where you publish it, so long as it's freely
available. If you plan to work on the code, I would recommend
cooperating with other developers to maximize the benefit to
Arachne, but that's entirely your choice. If you do nothing,
Arachne will slowly die.

Goodbye and good luck,
Joe.

PS. This message is being copied to Freelists and
ArachneDevelopment. Appologies to anyone that receives
multiple copies as a result. Under normal circumstances,
it is my policy not to post to multiple (related) lists.
