Progress report on Ethernet... results: nothing works.
Personal Netware when started gives the error code "3C503 -Card not
found" and locks up the system.
EZNOS: I have followed all the instructions in the READ.ME file as far
as I can (for example; what is the ip address required in AUTOEXEC.NOS?).
When HTTPD.BAT is run, I get several messages at the top that "eth0" is
not found. After that everything looks alright but it won't connect.
It appears that there is just too much that I don't understand.
I noticed that PuTTY has a facility to work via the serial port. Perhaps
I should try that, using Telix on the DOS machine. All I would need in
the way of hardare is a null-modem cable (I already have that) and an
RS232 switch to switch the DOS comp between the modem and the null-modem
cable.... hmmm... I haven't seen one of those switches for a long time;
I might find one at a s/hand comp dealer....
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
