lists eg:
 arachne@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Send a blank email to the Freelist Mailing List Manager:
ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
with "subscribe arachne" in the subject line.
"help" in the subject line should get you the ecartis "help"
file with other commands you can use, including "unsubscribe"
and "who".
