[arachne] Detachments

Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Hi All,
I am having problems sending attachments to freelists.

The first attempt was one text plus one binary and the binary was
blocked (fair enough). Two subsequent attempts, with text only, have
failed.

Either freelists is blocking the attachments, or my smtp server is
intermittent.

If any of the direct mail fails please let me know.

ARACHNE TODOLIST DETAILS

Item numbers refer to the 2DoList table. Send additions to 
featus@xxxxxxxxxxxx (Fix, or Enhance, Arachne version, Title, User
proposing, Seconder)

Once Arachne has connected to an ISP, it dosen't check to see if
the connection is still active before trying to send or recieve mail.
The result is that Arachne waits for perhaps 30 seconds while
'trying' to send or recieve, and then gives up with an error message
to the effect that the opperation is aborted -- it looks like
something is actualy wrong, but all that is amiss is that the
program needs to redial.  I'd say that this could be done 
automagicaly without too much trouble.
