Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!
Hi to you all,
A page from my homepage will not download as should be... it used to be
all right in the past.
At http://home.hetnet.nl/~ba8tian/dipper.htm
There is the dipper.htm file plus 9 .gif images.
The text is displayed as should be but the first picture that should be
inserted after a few lines of text is not... there is a large blank.
I did some investigation:
1- is this image (dipper1x.gif) at the ISP and is it undamaged?
Yes, it is! Download is OK with windows.
2- has something been changed in the HTML-code of the site?
No problems found.
3- In utilities => cache index dipper1x.gif is showed as 150403 bytes
and that is the correct size of the image.
However: only 103997 bytes are transferred to the cache and clicking
on this image gives a blank.
Question: Why are only 103997 bytes stored in the cache?
This is a consistent malfunction with several distributions of Arachne,
although the size of the downloaded image may differ, eg. 106740 with
Ray's BETA6 core we are now testing.
I tried: 1.90j1 1.91 (modified 1.83/1.89) BETA5 and BETA6.
Problems with dialing in with version 1.61 denied testing with 1.61.
*******
BTW: the contents of this Dutch language site is the use of a "dipper"
measuring device. Measuring resonance frequency from tuned coils etc.
Regards, Bastiaan
