No speed report from modem...

Start downloading 36000 bytes/sec creeping up to 40000
File downloaded in about 10 minutes >> 600 seconds
24MB in 600 sec >>> 40kB/sec average... very slow comparing to Glenn :(

Computer: pentium IV 500MHz

I also tested with Firefox on my XP-machine: same results 40KB/sec
So it seems the connection is that slow.
However the ADSL signal comes in via the telephone lines and is about 20
times faster than the old 'phone in connection' that is no longer
available.
Upload is very much slower...
