But this time I put your core into a "virgin" A1.90JG, just created.
There was NO re-set configuration to muddy the waters this time.

Initially I got a totally black screen and complete loss of keyboard
or mouse control. Had to press the RESET button.
On reboot, I loaded the packet driver, created the RAM disk on which
I placed the %temp% directory, then called Arachne. I got sent to the
"found your packet driver" screen first. Pressed "O" for the Options
setup and got a flashing screen with rapid sequences of black screen and
white writing going past too fast to read, together with ferocious HD
churning. I hit the reset button pretty quickly at that point and
performed a NDD on reboot. No damage seems to have been done to my HD,
but I deleted the whole directory immediately.
Don't know if it is relevant, but the windows .DLL file was obtained
from Windows 3.1.
