That's funny! :) I've had people see me on my computer, and
using Linux rescue discs, argue with me that I'm "in DOS".
Most people just assume a black screen HAS to be DOS!

Kaspersky Rescue Disk, a bootable DOS Based Kaspersky Antivirus to
perform virus scanning and remove viruses on Windows without booting
the operating system first.

Glenn, if you had downloaded and tried out that one you would have
recognized that it is not DOS-based.

That one is a linux live CD which includes the linux program "Kapersky
Antivirus"

It boots a linux operating system from the CD and it runs in a ram
drive.

It is designed to scan only one's DOS and/or Windoze partition(s) for
viruses and malware.

I downloaded the iso file and I burned the live CD and I tried it out on
my dual boot WinXP and Ubuntu linux machine after booting to the CD.

Sooooo.... for some strange reason those folks are
calling the Linux CLI 'DOS based'.

Do they not know what DOS is ????
