Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! To those that may be interested, Clamav has been ported to DOS. I have used Clamav on my boxes for some time and it has always worked very well for me. In reviews I have read, it has beat out Norton, McAfee, Avg, Blackice and all others. In a couple I read, it was the only antivirus to catch absolutely all malware the reviewers had loaded onto their machines. They also update their definitions hourly, not monthly or even daily like most others. I haven't tried the DOS version yet, so I don't know how hard or easy it is to install or run. It is OpenSource and licensed under the GPL, so if there is enuff interest maybe it will be maintained for DOS users. Get it here. http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/util/system/clamav/ Rob -- "With a Les Paul you just wind up sounding like someone else; with the Strat I finally sound like me." -Jeff Beck I don't play a lot of fancy guitar. I don't want to play it. The kind of guitar I want to play is mean, mean licks. --John Lee Hooker -----Pine Email on Slackware GNU/Linux-----Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
