I have been trying to get that across from the beginning.

And RTFM is hard when you DHTFM (Don't Have The F***ing Manual).

If you can't get them to the point where you can use them, they
are worthless. By definition.

To other people, they may have a different worth.

But someone downloading a package is entitled to expect at least
a reasonable amount of instructions to come with that package.

You can't buy a bit of hardware these days without some
instructions on how to use it.

But it _does_ come with a lot of documentation, in the form of
the help files. And most of its commands have inbuilt
instructions that you can call up, for example DIR /? will give a
lot of help on the DIR command.

That was all fully explained in all three of the books I have on
DOS. Although you had to know where to look for it.

He was wrong there.

For example, look at the call for CORE.EXE in ARACHNE.BAT.

Right-click on an icon. Select "properties" and look at what it
says.

That remains to be seen.
