Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

Frank,

There are, in fact, ****thousands***** of Unix commands. Nobody knows
all of Unix. It's endless. Any computer geek going back to the 80's
could and often did develop new commands to solve particuler problems.
There was tremendous creativity in the Unix world. The source for my
knowledge of this is mostly a book by Harley Hahn "A Student's Guide to
Unix" written in the early 90's when the internet was non-commercial
and mostly text based on Unix servers that you logged onto with some
sort of terminal emulator.
