Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! There is no need to "crash" Windows back to DOS, because if you shut it down, you already will be in DOS. At least this works with Win95/98. Simply rename win.com to w.com and call it from a batch file win.bat that also contains the command MODE CO80,25. After Windows terminates, it leaves its shutdown message on screen, but you are really at the DOS prompt at that moment. The MODE command will restore the text mode so you can see again what you type. :-) Regards, Udo -- The DR-DOS/OpenDOS Enhancement Project - http://www.drdosprojects.de -- This mail was written by a user of The Arachne Browser - http://arachne.cz/ Arachne at FreeLists -- Arachne, The Premier GPL Web Browser/Suite for DOS --
