I agree; there is not much to be gained by having two separate outboxes
and two different extensions for outgoing mails.

However, it might be possible to add a special tag to mark mails in the
box for sending them the next time the connection is established. For
example, clicking on "Send Mail NOW" would send the mail immediately in
online mode and mark the mail for sending instead in offline mode.

So basically one would not have two separate outboxes, but rather tell
Arachne which of the mails in the outbox are finished and ready to be
sent. This would probably only require to add a new index file.
