Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club!

If you're planning on making changes, how about adding a scheduling feature? You know, mail me at this time kinda thing.

Before I send this as a suggestion to FEATUS, I thought I'd toss
it into the ring for general discussion of the feasability of the
idea.

The problem was pointed out by a friend who we are trying to
introduce to Arachne.

He has previously been using NetTamer, and has become very
attached to one of its features, namely that replies or new
messages once written can be sent to the Outbox for bulk
uploading on the next connection, or to a Pending box where they
can be retained for later editing before being uploaded.

I can see how this could be very useful.

As I see it, to do this with Arachne would require creation of a
new extension for replies and other outgoing messages being held
in the Pending box, such as .PND for example.

Then changes would have to be made to the SENDFILE.AH,
SENDMAIL.AH, REPLY.HTP and RESEND.HTP to add another button to
send the message to the Pending mailbox.

A new icon would have to be added to the mail screen to open the
Pending box.

Insight would have to be ammended to allow reading of the
messages with the new extension.

A new screen would also have to be created for modifying messages
in the Pending box without the "Send to Pending" button, which
would make it identical to the current RESEND.HTP

It looks possible to me. What do others think?
