this is what you wrote in your original posting on this subject:

I mentioned XDIR because I thought you were looking for a replacement
for the DIR /S command in MS-DOS. XDIR /S does exactly the same; it
finds all files matching the search pattern in all sub directories
in and below the specified dir on the same drive.
I did not know that you were looking for a tool that finds files
across all drives, otherwise I would not have recommended XDIR.
Perhaps you should tell what exactly you are looking for before
complaining that the proposed solutions do not work for you.
