[arachne] Re: Can't Access Router's GUI

Lester,
I want to Thank You! I think you just saved me some money,
and extreme aggravation! I've planned on getting a router
as soon as I could get the bucks. I had made up my mind to
get a Linksys. Since I haven't had windo$e here in three
years or better, except on computers I've brought in to give
a good home instead of a dumpster, I prolly would have been
quite frustrated. I want one that will work with DOS, 'nix
or whatever my OS du jour is. Maybe even windo$e, I can't
wait for Vista, Yah Right. I also, very important to me,
want to be able to ssh into it. It sounds like a Linksys is
NOT what I want. If anyone on this list has any
recommendations for a NAT router that will work with all
systems and can be used with 'ssh' please let me know. I
don't know much about routers, tho I did briefly deal with
Cisco routers at school, so any tips would also be more
than welcome. I would imagine any router that works with
DOS would work with 'nix.

Thanx Again Lester, Rob
P.S. I really hate javascript!

Thanks for your answers. As it turns, out my router (Linksys Befsx41) doesn't have telnet access. Http only. So I'm out of luck here, I have to boot to Winxp to connect/disconnect from the router.
