Dear Udo
Assume that you use Tonline and Tonline uses PPPoE.
My modem/ router wants to be served with PPPoA, not that it mattered much
before.
I worked with bootp and tcpinfo.exe informs me that DHCP, BOOTP and RARP all
failed and no IP-addresses are found. On the Linux boxes and on the Baslinux
on the same machine everything works fine. Go figuring. On the logfile from
the ADSL install program I am informed of activity. It informs me:
sending OFFER to 192.168.2.102 (which is the address given to the networkcard
of the Arachne box)
If I insert all the information gathered on the ADSL install system in the
wattcp.cfg file and exclude the bootp part, I do not get any reaction at all.
This data from the setup program are not very clear because they use their own
expressions.

The IP address under GATEWAY is the address I have to use in order to access
my ADSL modem router setup.
The three computers now connected are respectively 192.168.2.100, 101 and 102.
The 102 is the Arachne box.
After two days and nights with this box I am at the end of my Latin.
Any usefull tips. By the way. Getting rid of the firewall does not help.
